Case Manager/Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer - Bendigo Job Function: Prison and Corrective ServicesWork Type: Ongoing - full time About this role Ongoing, full-time position based in BendigoHybrid position: support community safety through case management and advise the courts on an individual's court order suitabilityComprehensive training and career development offeredAbout usCommunity Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services, and community resources. CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex offences on post-sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.About the roleThe Case Manager/Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer has dual responsibilities: assessing and prosecuting individuals at court, and providing evidence-based case management to a caseload of individuals assessed at medium or high risk of reoffending.You will conduct assessments to determine suitability for court orders, facilitate order variations, prosecute non-compliance, and apply evidence-based case management practices to actively engage and support individuals in reducing reoffending risks and successfully completing court orders, while balancing community safety.To be successful, you will have:Experience or understanding of effective case management practices, including managing complex risksExperience or understanding of modelling pro-social behaviors, motivating and influencing individualsExperience or understanding of court processes, prosecutions, or related areasAssertiveness and confidence in dealing with challenging behaviorsA relevant qualification in social work, law, human services, criminal justice, or criminology, or experience in court advice, assessments, or prosecutions, is desirable.For more details regarding these positions, please contact:At the Department of Justice and Community Safety, we provide ongoing learning and development opportunities in a diverse, equitable, and supportive environment.
