Night Auditor – IHG Hotels & Resorts
Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for a Night Auditor to provide customer service support, balance the books, and perform essential accounting tasks during late‑night shifts.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Process payments—including room charges, debit and credit card, cash, and cheques—according to established procedures.
* Check guests in and out, and manage any wake‑up call requests.
* Answer phones and respond to overnight guest queries.
* Run night audit using property management systems or equivalent manual processes.
* Perform additional duties such as concierge services and special guest requests.
* Operate safety, emergency equipment, and plant materials as directed by safety procedures.
* Cooperate with management to implement workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
What We Need From You
* Right to work in Australia.
* Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.
* Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and cash payments.
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software.
* Strong verbal communication and listening skills for effective guest and housekeeping interactions.
* Customer service experience.
* Knowledge of hotel operations, offers, and the local area.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.
* Flexibility to work during nights, weekends, and public holidays.
