Construction / Operations Manager — Senior Leadership
About the role
Join a well-established, fast-growing building company delivering multiple active projects across South East Queensland. This senior leadership role partners directly with the Managing Director to oversee day-to-day operations, drive on-time, on-budget project delivery, and contribute to the company's strategic direction. The successful candidate will bring strong site experience, operational maturity, and a collaborative mindset, with genuine appetite to influence outcomes and help shape long-term growth.
Key responsibilities
* Lead operations
across multiple projects, ensuring consistent delivery standards, safety, quality, and cost control
* Manage project delivery
including resourcing, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and programme adherence
* Provide site leadership
and mentor site teams to raise performance, productivity, and compliance
* Drive continuous improvement
in processes, commercial controls, and site systems
* Collaborate with the MD
on strategic planning, business development input, and client/stakeholder engagement
* Manage budgets and reporting
, providing clear commercial visibility and variance management
About you
* Proven site experience
in building or construction project delivery at a senior operational level
* Operational maturity
with strong leadership, people-management and stakeholder communication skills
* Commercially aware
with experience managing project budgets, subcontractors and programme risk
* Hands-on and pragmatic
, comfortable stepping into operational detail while thinking strategically
* Quality and safety focused
, with demonstrated ability to embed compliance and continuous improvement
