Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor – Field Systems, you will work on a day/night rotating roster of 42 hours per week, forming part of a collaborative and safety‐focused team. Your primary duties include:

• Setup, maintenance and development of operational technologies such as LTE, Modular, CAT Mine Star, CCTV, Digital Radio, Network Access Point Servers, TCP/IP Networking, PTP and PMP Microwave Radio Links and associated communications infrastructure
• Remote diagnosis of equipment using specialised software applications
• Support continuous improvement and project initiatives delivered by the Field Systems team
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Operational Technology Systems and processes, including guidelines, procedures, templates and tools
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Skills and Experience

The candidate should exhibit Yancoal Our Way behaviours and foster a One Team culture. Desired qualifications and attributes:

• A tertiary qualification in electronics or a related discipline
• Experience in a similar field‐based hardware role, ideally within large‐scale mining operations
• Exposure to operational technology systems and/or telecommunications environments
• Experience with LTE and Wi‐Fi communication networks
• Experience with fibre optic systems (desirable)
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF)
• Well‐developed problem‐solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a large team
• Proven commitment to safe work practices and high‐quality outcomes
