About This Role
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for volume and custom homes, including materials, labour, and subcontractors.
* Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and client inclusions to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
* Liaise with internal teams (sales, drafting, construction) and external suppliers/subcontractors for pricing and updates.
* Generate BOQs, material take-offs, and variations using estimating software (e.g. Databuild, Onsite Companion, Bluebeam).
* Identify potential cost risks and offer value engineering or design alternatives when required.
* Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and ensure all estimates align with company procedures and industry standards.
Requirements
* Over 3+ years' experience as an Estimator, preffered residential construction
* Experienced to both production and sales estimating
* Strong understanding of residential construction methods and cost control
* Able to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications accurately
* Great attention to detail and time management skills
* Experience using Databuild, Onsite Companion, or Bluebeam preferred
* Excellent communication and teamwork mindset
