Commercial Lead - Major Transport Infrastructure Project (Perth)
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Lead to join a leading contractor delivering a prestigious $500M transport infrastructure alliance project located south of the river in Perth. This landmark project has an expected duration of approximately three years, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to play a key leadership role within a high-performing alliance environment.
This is a site-based position, therefore applicants must be currently based south of the river. Relocators will not be considered due to project timeframes.
The Role
Reporting into senior project leadership, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of major construction packages while leading and mentoring an established commercial team. The role will suit an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator or Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a leadership role, or an established Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager / Commercial Lead seeking their next challenge on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of major project packages within an alliance environment
Oversee contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and reporting functions
Manage and mentor a small commercial team, ensuring strong performance and development
Provide strategic commercial advice to project leadership and support key decision-making
Ensure contractual compliance and effective management of commercial risk and opportunity
About You
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
Proven experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors on large-scale infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising commercial/contract teams
Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial reporting, and package-level management
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment
Must hold full Australian working rights
