About the role:
Central Highlands Rural Health is currently accepting applications for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Services department at Daylesford (newly built, single, operating theatre complex).

* Specialising in Endoscopy, minor gynaecological, plastic and general surgery procedures.
Role Statement:
The Registered Nurse (Perioperative) is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team who works to achieve a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to the patient/client and significant others for positive treatment outcomes.You will undertake and contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment treatment and discharge planning of patients and assumes accountability and responsibility for his/her own practice based upon his/her level of educational preparation and competence.
About you:
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• At least three years' experience in perioperative, anaesthetic and post anaesthetic care unit (Post Graduate qualification preferable)
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, innovative and motivated
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and under the direction of the NUM - Perioperative
• Demonstrated understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS)
• A comprehensive knowledge of operating theatre processes and procedures
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and clinical skills
• Ability to respond to appropriate emergency situations
• Understanding of the principles of infection control
• Evidence of ongoing Professional Development
• Availability on Fridays
• Scrub/scout experience
Details of Appointment: Casual
Salary: Dependent on experience, as per award + superannuation

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne.
It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November ****.
Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
