The role of a skilled Wood Machinist is crucial in the production process. This position involves ensuring high-quality standards are met in wood processing and product manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating various machinery to shape, cut, and mould wood into required forms.
* Consulting detailed plans and drawings to meet precise production specifications.
* Selection and fitting of blades, cutter heads, and guides to machine timber effectively.
* Adjusting and operating machinery to achieve optimal results in shaping and moulding wood.
* Regularly maintaining and cleaning machinery, tools, and workspace to ensure efficiency.
To excel in this role, applicants should have completed or be undertaking a Trade Qualification Certificate III in Wood Machining. Previous experience in the timber industry is advantageous, with knowledge of Moulders, End Matchers, Dockers, and Finger Joiners being favourable.
