Why do we need you ? Ensure achievement of strategic, business, and financial objectives for assigned lines within the Siding Products Group. Guide product management actions, define pricing strategies, and drive sales and marketing for CertainTeed and Private Label brands in targeted market segments. Develop innovative products and services based on customer needs and market trends, including 'Industry Firsts.' Collaborate with NPD and Operations through 'Voice of the Customer' activities and benchmarking to develop product extensions. Set volume and share goals by product line and region, and monitor performance. Provide direction to sales, manufacturing, NPD, customer service, finance, and marketing teams to execute plans. Lead product development projects to support new business initiatives across all channels. Manage overall profitability of existing and new product lines, tracking sales results and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Operate with independence in judgment and entrepreneurial decision-making.
Essential Functions: Manage multiple product lines and hundreds of SKUs. Develop and maintain multi-generational product plans (MGPPs). Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain to maintain profitability metrics. Establish and adjust product pricing strategies throughout the product lifecycle. Monitor competitive developments and conduct benchmarking. Oversee product line rationalization and inventory disposition decisions. Review specifications and manage product changes. Lead product planning to ensure value delivery, brand positioning, and channel segmentation. Direct cross-functional teams across all product lifecycle stages. Work with NPD project managers on new product development and launches, including defining features, benefits, and specifications based on customer input. Ensure all NPD process steps are followed, providing financial analysis input. Collaborate with Sales to meet sales targets for managed product lines. Is this job for you ? 7-9 years of progressive experience in product management, marketing, and new product development, with P&L responsibility. Experience in consumer durables, building materials, or home improvement products is preferred. Background in polymer science is a plus. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business required; MBA preferred. Proficiency in Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred. Strong leadership and project management skills; ability to work effectively across organizational levels. Creative problem-solving skills, with strong analytical capabilities for financial decision-making. Ability to handle multiple projects flexibly.
