About the role Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will work autonomously to help support the General Counsel in managing a broad portfolio of legal, regulatory, and governance matters. This role is integral to the firm's internal legal operations and risk management requiring a strong understanding of law firm practices, regulatory frameworks and ethical standards. Duties As a highly skilled, proactive and trusted legal advisor, your main responsibilities are:- Advise on governance, legal structures, partnerships, and commercial agreements. Manage litigation, employment disputes, FOI requests, and subpoenas. Oversee risk, insurance portfolios, claims handling, and policy renewals. Draft and review contracts, support procurement, and lead tender processes. Lead on compliance, privacy, AML, modern slavery, audits, and legal training. About you To be successful in this role you will:- Bring circa 4-6 years' PAE, ideally in a law firm or corporate legal department. You will have experience in corporate commercial, mergers & acquisitions and/or commercial litigation. Demonstrate expertise in compliance, legal operations, and professional standards. Apply experience across litigation, digital, commercial, and contract law. Utilise strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills to influence outcomes.
