Agitator Driver Job Description
As a crucial member of our team, the Agitator Driver plays a vital role in delivering concrete to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Concrete Safely: Operate agitator trucks to transport concrete from plants to construction sites in a timely and safe manner.
* Follow Delivery Schedules: Adhere to prescribed delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries to construction sites.
* Maintain Vehicles: Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
* Comply with Regulations: Follow all traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
* Ensure Workplace Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, both on the road and at job sites.
* Provide Excellent Customer Service: Build positive relationships with clients through exceptional communication skills.
* Record Deliveries: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and paperwork.
About You:
* Driver's License: Possess a valid and clean HR driver's license with a minimum of 6 months on-road experience, preferably with experience in operating agitator trucks.
* Road Safety Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
* Physical Ability: Be physically able to load and unload concrete as necessary.
* Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
* Safety Commitment: Show a strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices.
* Flexibility: Be flexible to work variable hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold valid Australian work rights with no limitations on hours or duration of employment. A pre-employment medical including a functional assessment and a drug and alcohol screening will also be required.
