3-month Contract Opportunity Remote working arrangement (Must be based in Melbourne OR Sydney OR Brisbane OR NZ ) Daily rate: $950 - $1000 (inc SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Test Analyst to join a collaborative technology team. In this critical role, you will take ownership of the testing and quality assurance lifecycle for core financial and HR systems. Your primary focus will be ensuring the seamless operation, upgrade, and integration of our payroll platforms. If you bring a deep understanding of complex payroll processes and have proven, hands-on experience navigating the TechnologyOne (TechOne) ecosystem, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive system integrity and make a high-visibility impact within our organization. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts tailored to enterprise software upgrades and implementations. Conduct rigorous functional, integration, and regression testing specifically within the TechnologyOne (TechOne) ERP environment. Verify and validate complex payroll configurations, ensuring absolute accuracy in pay runs, tax calculations, leave accruals, and superannuation processing. Identify, document, and track software defects using standard tracking tools (e.g., Jira), collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to drive timely resolutions. Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), guiding finance and HR stakeholders through new system functionalities and updates. Ensure all system enhancements and patches remain strictly compliant with current Australian payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, and awards. MORE ABOUT YOU Demonstrated, hands-on experience working with TechnologyOne (TechOne) software is essential for this position. Deep understanding of payroll systems and workflows, coupled with a practical knowledge of Australian payroll compliance and legislation. Solid commercial background working as a Software Tester, Test Analyst, or similar role, with a strong grasp of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Comfortable using industry-standard test management and defect tracking software (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, TestRail). A meticulous, analytical mindset with the ability to spot discrepancies in critical financial and operational data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to clearly translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
