About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, leading budgeting and forecasting activities, and supporting governance, compliance and continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial planning, analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making, including monthly cashflow forecasting.
* Manage annual and mid-year budgeting processes, including tender and funding application budgets.
* Prepare monthly management reports with clear narrative, insights and KPI analysis.
* Review month-end processes and provide backup support to the Financial Accountant as required.
* Manage capital budgets and support asset-related financial planning.
* Develop, review and maintain financial policies, ensuring strong governance, controls and compliance.
* Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial advice, insights and decision support across the organisation.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
* CPA or CA qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.
* Current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain both prior to commencement.
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders.
* Experience working within, or an interest in, the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
