The Opportunity
As the Maintenance Contracts Coordinator, you will play a central role in managing the commercial, contractual, and compliance components that underpin effective maintenance delivery across Western's built environment. Your work will help ensure that key service contracts operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with regulatory and University standards.
You will oversee the procurement, administration, and performance management of building services contracts, ensuring contractors deliver high quality and timely services. You will provide specialist advice on commercial risk, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, while supporting the development of robust contract management frameworks across the Office of Property and Commercial.
This role will also see you collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, Campus Coordinators, and external service providers to deliver best practice maintenance outcomes. By integrating strong commercial judgement with excellent relationship management, you will contribute to long term operational efficiency and improved service delivery across facilities and infrastructure.
What Success Looks Like:
* Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities to ensure operational continuity, safety, and compliance.
* Maintain accurate asset records that support lifecycle planning and operational efficiency.
* Manage contractor performance and service delivery standards, resolving issues in a timely manner.
* Monitor and optimise Building Management Systems to support energy efficiency and operational performance.
* Contribute to commercial negotiations, risk mitigation planning, and strategic contract governance.

About You
* Experience supporting facilities and building services environments, including knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Demonstrated capability in project planning, contract administration, and multi‑disciplinary maintenance coordination.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation, building codes, and NSW government procurement processes.
* Ability to build long term stakeholder relationships and manage competing priorities in a changing environment.
* Proven experience establishing commercial frameworks that reduce risk and improve service performance.
