Strategic Financial Partner
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team in a strategic financial partnership role. As a key member of the finance team, you will provide valuable financial guidance and support to drive business performance across our diverse network.
Job Summary:
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for managing and supporting the preparation of pricing schedules, customer invoicing, and contract budget funding requests. You will ensure accuracy of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, contribute to the preparation of workpapers for statutory compliance obligations, and liaise with auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting and Analysis: Actively contribute to and prepare key finance reports, including month-end deliverables and variance analysis. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
* Financial Management: Manage and support the preparation of pricing schedules, customer invoicing, and contract budget funding requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate financial inputs for government grant applications.
* Statutory Compliance: Ensure accuracy of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Contribute to the preparation of workpapers for statutory compliance obligations (GST, Payroll tax, Superannuation, FBT, etc.) and liaise with auditors.
* Cash & Treasury: Actively monitor and report on daily cash balances, assist with cashflow management, and ensure daily bank payments are processed.
* Finance Team Governance: Ensure all finance procedures and processes are documented, adhered to, and up to date. Contribute to policy renewal and ensure fit-for-purpose finance controls are in place.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting degree (desirable).
* CPA or CA professional qualifications (or working towards, desirable).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar industry/role.
* Strong interpersonal skills, professional assertiveness, and exceptional multi-tasking abilities.
* Proactive problem-solving skills with strong analytical decision-making.
* Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Current unencumbered Class C Drivers Licence.
* Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Suitability Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (as required for Risk Assessed Role).
