Occupational Therapist - FIFO (7/7 Roster)

Role Overview
The Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality, family-centred occupational therapy services to children and families in Tom Price and surrounding communities. Working on a FIFO 7/7 roster, this role has been intentionally designed to be clinically sustainable, professionally rewarding, and supportive of work–life balance.
The Occupational Therapist will work with a high level of autonomy during FIFO weeks while being supported by a clinician-led leadership team, therapy assistants, and established systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
* Deliver paediatric occupational therapy services under the NDIS, including assessment, intervention, and review
* Develop goal-focused, evidence-informed therapy plans in collaboration with children and families
* Provide intervention that is responsive to individual, family, and community needs
* Maintain ethical, safe, and professional clinical practice at all times
Caseload & Workload
* Deliver services across 6 full clinical days per FIFO week, with 2 half travel days (equivalent of one designated travel day)
* Maintain an average of approximately 6 billable hours per clinical day
* Manage a mixed caseload of assessments, interventions, and reviews
* Plan and organise sessions to support continuity of care across FIFO rotations
Communication & Collaboration
* Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and carers
* Work collaboratively with therapy assistants to support client goals
* Liaise with schools, early learning services, and other stakeholders as required
* Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and team discussions
Documentation & Compliance
* Complete clinical documentation and reports in line with NDIS requirements
* Maintain accurate and timely records using business systems
* Adhere to Brighter Futures Therapy policies, procedures, and professional standards
* Uphold confidentiality, privacy, and duty of care obligations
Professional Development
* Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision - $1,000 per annum CPD allowance provided
* Contribute to service improvement initiatives, group programs, or projects as opportunities arise

Essential Requirements
* Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Eligibility to work in Australia
* Current driver's licence
* Ability and willingness to work on a FIFO 7/7 roster
* Confidence working independently in a regional or remote setting
* Strong communication, organisation, and clinical reasoning skills

* Experience working with paediatric clients
* Experience delivering services under the NDIS
* Previous FIFO, regional, or remote work experience
* Experience working with therapy assistants or multidisciplinary teams
