Appointment Pool
Henley Brook Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
In this role you will ideally have good attention to detail and be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You should be organised, reliable and punctual. An excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices will be desirable.
Suitable applicants will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, and rubbish removal. They will perform external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, and removal of cobwebs. They will complete vacation cleaning duties, including the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-in-Charge.
Our school will be built to accommodate 430 students in permanent buildings, and up to more than 700 students in transportable buildings from Kindergarten to Year 6, from within the rapidly growing suburbs of Brabham and Henley Brook (located in the Swan Valley, near Whiteman Park). To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
1. Ability to read and apply Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions and training guidelines.
2. Knowledge of, and ability to, use cleaning equipment including polishers, vacuum cleaners and pressure cleaners.
3. Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions and work as a member of a team.
