Heavy Diesel Mechanic
This role is available for a skilled mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic based out of our workshop in Allansford, VIC. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of milk tanker trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair a fleet of up to 45 heavy and multi-vehicle combination milk tanker trucks.
* Collaborate with tanker drivers and fleet coordinators.
* Assist with vehicle breakdowns, diagnose and repair issues, and manage milk flow meters.
* Ensure the safe transfer of milk back to the depot.
Requirements:
* A minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Trade.
* Experience in a similar role within the transport industry, particularly with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* A current HC / MC driver's license (desirable but not essential).
* Experience with both automatic and manual trucks, especially Volvos, is highly regarded.
* The ability to work independently, handle pressure, and maintain high standards for the fleet.
