Job Opportunity: Financial Services Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage risk, ensuring all policy and compliance requirements are met.
* Apply relevant specialist knowledge and experience to understand, influence, and advise internal and/or external clients.
* Identify new business and referral opportunities and establish, develop, and utilize networks of internal and external contacts.
* Assess economic value and risk potential of new business.
* Prepare and submit business lending proposals outside own authorities with full justification for recommendations.
* Achieve and exceed business sales and deposit targets while actively supporting colleagues.
* Work with Internal Specialist partners to fulfill customer needs.
* Provide professional and ethical behavior in actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards, and internal operating policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related field and/or postgraduate professional qualification would be ideal.
* 3-4 years of experience in sales and/or business lending (may include term mortgage or asset-based finance).
* Experience with BFS products and services, with emphasis on sales, lending, transactional/deposits, credit assessment, and Risk.
* Proven ability to form business relationships, both internal and external, and build appropriate networks.
* Bank of choice focus - Experience working with customers, uncovering their needs, and delivering appropriate solutions, building customer advocacy.
* Proactive resolution of customer complaints, taking ownership to resolve.
