With facilities at West Perth and Leederville, Rosewood Care Group (Inc) is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate registered nurse in residential aged care with clinical nurse management experience. The Clinical Governance Specialist is a full‐time role reporting to the General Manager Residential and is supported by a highly engaged leadership team and collaborative working culture focused on respect, support and recognition that encourages staff ideas and feedback.
It is the subject‐matter expert in the clinical field with responsibility for driving best practice and quality care, coaching, support, and guidance to clinical and care teams to ensure that exceptional person‐centered care is delivered and that all legislative and professional standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Upholds the Values, Mission, Vision of Rosewood.
* Provides clinical oversight, functioning as a senior clinical resource to the facilities in the care of residents, builds and maintains a positive, engaging culture, fostering the development of skilled nursing and care staff.
* Coach and mentor clinical care teams in performing their role and responsibilities, developing and optimising their clinical leadership capability.
* Contributes to the investigation, identification and analysis of organisation‐wide trends and issues as they affect clinical practice and implements corrective actions for improvement in the delivery of clinical practice and outcomes of resident care.
* Supports key stakeholders in clinical education enabling professional development for nursing and care staff.
* Facilitates education, in‐service training and capability building across the clinical workforce.
* Participates in clinical audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Embeds the required professional accountability for clinical management systems across residential care services that assures exceptional quality clinical care service delivery and compliance obligations.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
* Proven success with coaching and upskilling clinical team members and supporting residential aged care facilities.
* Understanding and commitment to quality improvement and the new Strengthen Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Sound working knowledge and experience using electronic documentation, reporting systems, and relevant software.
* Relevant post‐graduate tertiary or similar qualification relevant to residential aged care.
* Advanced clinical skills in aged care nursing with significant residential aged care experience at clinical management level.
* Demonstrated previous experience in Aged Care Quality Standards, compliance and accreditation in residential aged care.
* Highly developed interpersonal communication both written and oral skills, forging relationships and managing through influence.
* Well‐developed analytical and problem‐solving skills.
