Overview
ACRWORLD is seeking a HSE Manager in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Our client is a leading player in Australia's renewable energy sector with a growing portfolio of projects nationwide. This is a hands‑on role that supports both strategic and day‑to‑day safety operations to ensure a safe and compliant environment across project sites and offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and manage WHS risks across sites and ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies
* Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
* Deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks
* Support emergency preparedness and crisis management planning
* Monitor contractor compliance and provide coaching where needed
* Maintain and improve WHS systems and documentation
* Collaborate with internal teams to address safety concerns
* Provide limited support with environmental and quality assurance matters
* Travel to project sites regularly to provide on‑the‑ground support
Qualifications
* 10+ years' experience in WHS roles, ideally within construction or renewable energy
* An engineering degree or similar technical qualification (desirable)
* Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices
* Experience with site audits, investigations, and safety reporting
* Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to build rapport with diverse site teams and contractors
* White Card and willingness to travel as needed
