Job Seeker Support Specialist
The role of Job Seeker Support Specialist is to provide high-level customer service by matching customers to the most effective interventions, helping them become job-ready and find suitable and sustainable employment.
* Ensure customers understand program requirements and expectations for active engagement in employment or activities preparing them for employment.
* Identify and coordinate assistance for customers to improve their employment prospects through self-esteem building, access to non-vocational and vocational interventions, site activities, and job matching.
* Deliver and facilitate group-based sessions to support customers in improving non-vocational skills and ability to complete job searches.
* Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to provide holistic support.
* Review customers' requirements regularly to ensure tailored support based on individual circumstances.
* Conduct Reverse Marketing calls to employers to support placing participants into employment.
Key qualifications include a passion for connecting people to opportunities, being results-driven but people-focused, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows and MS Office suite, is also required. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Employment Services or related fields are desirable.
