The 'Civil Delivery' department maintains and constructs civil infrastructure within the council area. Fiscal management is a key focus for short- and long-term city planning, aiming to meet current needs without compromising future generations.
The Position
Reporting to the General Manager of Construction, Maintenance, and Operations, you will advise the Senior Leadership Team and collaborate across departments to advance Council's purpose of Growing Townsville and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the community. Your goal is to provide excellent customer service, foster innovation, and add value in all Council activities.
As Team Manager Civil Delivery, you will lead a team of 150 staff across all civil projects and activities. This role offers growth opportunities to broaden your experience and expertise in civil delivery, demonstrating leadership and driving cultural change.
About You
You are a qualified engineer with experience in both private and public civil construction, known for effective leadership. Your passion for the environment and civil infrastructure is demonstrated through innovative ideas that benefit communities via improved processes, cost efficiencies, and capabilities.
Confident and resilient, you will guide your team through a transitional phase, balancing capital and maintenance projects, including DRFA works, while enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness. Your leadership will shape the lifestyle of Townsville City.
