Overview
We're looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our small, community-focused wine bar kitchen. Working alongside our Head Chef and a close-knit team who've all been together for a significant period of time, this role suits someone who enjoys a collaborative environment, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a tight team.
This is a part-time role (approx. 20–25 hours/week) with the opportunity to grow into full-time for the right person as the business continues to develop.
About the role
* Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and service
* Prepare and plate dishes to a high and consistent standard
* Contribute to prep, ordering support, and stock rotation
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas
* At times operate the kitchen solo during services
* Undertake all aspects of kitchen duties including dishes and cleaning
* Support a positive, respectful, team-first culture
About you
* Experience in a similar Chef de Partie or strong Commis role
* Comfortable working independently and managing a service
* Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
* Reliable, organised, and proactive
* Hands-on across all kitchen tasks (including dishes/cleaning)
* Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
What we offer
* Supportive Head Chef and stable, long-standing team
* Quality-driven, wine-bar style menu and service
* Consistent part-time hours with growth potential
* Friendly local customer base and community environment
* Opportunity to grow with the business
If you're a chef who values teamwork, quality produce, and a welcoming neighbourhood venue, we'd love to hear from you.
