We're looking for a Work Coordinator to join our Invicta Mill team in the Burdekin Region, North Queensland. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently planning and coordinating maintenance and capital works for mill assets within the Feed & Crush strategy area, but will assist in other strategy areas when required.
Located in Giru, North Queensland, just a 30 minute drive from Ayr or Townsville. The Burdekin/Townsville area offers a laid-back lifestyle, with stunning beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep.
Your Role in Action
* Lead and Support Your Team: Guide and support the site engineering and operations teams, ensuring they effectively execute their responsibilities.
* Drive Maintenance and Capital Strategies: Collaborate with a diverse team to develop and implement effective maintenance and capital plans.
* Monitor Performance and Drive Improvement: Oversee team performance, providing guidance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
* Plan and Schedule Work: Develop and coordinate the weekly schedule while contributing to long-term program planning.
* Ensure Resource Readiness: Organize the necessary resources for maintenance and capital works, including breakdowns and shutdowns.
* Problem-Solve in the Field: Conduct in-field fault finding and rectification to maintain operational reliability.
* Champion Safety and Quality: Monitor and manage team compliance with safety and quality standards.
Your Winning Combination
We are seeking a motivated individual with previous leadership experience who can effectively communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels. You will be able to successfully engage and motivate a team towards common goals to achieve performance targets and business goals. You will hold tertiary or trade qualifications in a mechanical discipline or be able to demonstrate practical experience within the sugar industry or similar heavy industrial environments. It is essential that you have experience working with turbines and the associated equipment, ensuring you possess the necessary skills and knowledge to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot these complex systems effectively.
