Our client is looking for a key member to join their Corporate Services Team, playing a pivotal role in developing and implementing a robust information management framework tailored to the organisation's unique needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analysis:_
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current information management practices, systems, and legacy information systems.
- Analyse legacy information systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement and integration within the new framework.
- Summarise government compliance requirements related to information management.
- Framework Development:_
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive information management framework.
- Propose information management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Define practical steps for organising and storing digital data, including content migration, decision-making processes, proposed timings, key risks, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Support the seamless implementation and operation of the framework, considering the size and complexity of the organization's business requirements.
- Develop a plan for monitoring and evaluating the framework's performance, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for enhancements.
**_ Implementation:_**
- Undertake necessary steps outlined in the information management framework, including data migration.
- Develop a metadata repository and record system for the records management system.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of the information management framework.
- Provide training and support to staff on the framework and adherence to policies and procedures.
**The Successful Applicant**:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, information management, knowledge management, business analysis, or a related field.
- Proven experience in information management roles, preferably within a government setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian government compliance requirements for information management, including archival/disposal.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
- Experience in project management and change management methodologies is desirable.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Australian citizenship
- Baseline security clearance very desirable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Baseline security clearance.
