YOUR NEW ROLE

Play a key role in shaping how projects are managed at the Sydney Opera House. This position strengthens and evolves the organisation's project management framework, tools and practices that support a diverse portfolio of projects. As part of the Enterprise Risk & Program Management Office, you will partner with sponsors and managers to provide expert advice on planning, governance, risk and delivery, ensuring projects deliver clear business outcomes and measurable benefits. You will also build project management capability across the organisation through targeted training and clear reporting to senior leaders, helping embed consistent, best-practice approaches that deliver lasting value.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Key Responsibilities/skills:

* Bachelor-level qualification in Business, Project/Program Management, Change Management, Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong expertise in project management frameworks, tools, and methodologies, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and benefits realisation.
* Demonstrated ability to build organisational project management capability through training, coaching, and delivery of workshops.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, assess complex issues, and develop effective, outcome-focused solutions.
* Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, including executive reporting, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management.
* Experience advising and supporting multiple projects across diverse functions, balancing competing priorities in a complex organisational environment.
* Capability to integrate risk management and change management approaches into project planning and delivery.
* Experience working in the performing arts sector or a similarly complex, high-volume environment, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
