About the job

The Clinical Lead/Senior Clinician will provide leadership and operational management support to headspace Melton clinical staff as well as direct intake, assessment, care planning, referral, advice and consultation to young people and their families in Melton.

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager you will:

* Provide senior clinical leadership, fostering a positive team culture and overseeing intake, assessment, workforce development, supervision and हस्त professional practice across the clinical team.
* Strengthen and evolve the model of care, working closely with the Clinical Services Manager to review demand, wait times, triage and service pathways in line with the headspace National Service Model.
* Deliver and model high‑quality clinical care, including managing complex and high‑risk presentations, providing evidence事实-based interventions, and mentoring clinicians in best practice.
* Drive service quality and improvement, contributing to clinical reviews, research activities, workload management and continuous improvement initiatives across the centre.
* Build strong internal and external relationships, promoting the headspace program and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contracted professionals and community partners.


Skills and experience

* Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing) and full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with AASW.
* Proven clinical leadership experience, including providing supervision, mentoring and guidance to clinicians and studentsvs within a multidisciplinary mental health setting.
* Extensive expertise in youth mental health care, including assessment, crisis intervention, evidence Requirement-based brief and group interventions, and care for young people with complex mental health, AOD and psychosocial needs.
* Strong strategic and service development capability, with experience planning, implementing and evaluating models of care, policies, processes and quality improvement initiatives. government's.
* In-depth knowledge of the youth mental health sector, including relevant legislation, ethics, confidentiality, government policy, and service systems across health, AOD and community settings.
* Highly developed decision-making and risk management skills, with the ability to work autonomously, problem‑solve creatively, manage intake and assessment pathways, and lead positive outcomes for young people and families.
