Imagine looking out over the Hastings Rover in picturesque Port Macquarie every shift. With The Westport Club you'll no longer need to imagine. We're ready for our next Sous Chef to join the team and lead our kitchen across our ala carte restaurant, cafe and events centre.
If you're an established leader with experience in a variety of kitchen environments this is the role for you. We are one of the highest volume venues in Port Macquarie as we operate 365 days a year and deliver flagship events such as our Christmas buffet and Melbourne Cup Luncheon every year. Your culinary expertise will see you shape and guide our current team to provide an outstanding experience to our customers time after time.
Although our venue provides unique experiences every day, on any given day you will be expected to:
* Assist the Head Chef in the coordination of the operations of our kitchens
* Provide coaching, guidance and performance management conversations with our team
* Contribute to the long-term planning of catering at The Westport Club and play a key role in the growth of all outlets
* Develop and maintain a network of suppliers that provide us with the best ingredients for a great price
