Wildlife Recovery Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Wildlife Recovery Specialist.
No prior experience is necessary – just a passion for wildlife conservation and a commitment to providing top-notch care to injured animals.
In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Hospital Manager and Supervisors to ensure the well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
* Cleaning cages, vivariums, aviaries or other housing facilities
* Washing dishes, laundry, perches and equipment
* Sweeping and mopping of Hospital facilities
* Handling a variety of animals
* Weighing animals
* Husbandry and enrichment maintenance
* Record keeping
* Administering fluids and food via syringe or tube
* Administering non-prescription medications
A minimum commitment of one 6-hour shift per week is required, with shifts running from 8:30 am-2:30 pm or 2:30 pm-8:30 pm. After completing a 16-week competency training, you can take on a full weekly/fortnightly shift or a shorter weekly shift.
