This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for setting, embedding, and protecting clinical care and governance standards across a multi-site retirement living and care portfolio.
The position holds enterprise-wide influence without direct line management responsibilities.
You will operate as the organisation's clinical authority, shaping policy, governance frameworks, service models, and quality systems that support safe, compliant, and person-centred care across independent living, serviced apartments, care hubs, and home-based services.
Role Responsibilities
* Own and lead the clinical care and governance framework across the business
* Design, review, and implement clinical and care policies, procedures, and quality systems
* Provide expert clinical advice to executive leaders, operations, development, and care teams
* Ensure compliance with all relevant aged care, home care, retirement living, and quality standards
* Lead clinical risk management, incident oversight, CQI processes, and regulatory readiness
* Act as subject-matter expert for care models, service integration, and technology platforms
* Support rollout and scaling of care services across existing and future communities
* Contribute to research, innovation, and evidence-based practice to lift care outcomes
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders including regulators, providers, and health professionals
* Undertake travel across metropolitan, regional, and remote locations as required
What This Role Is Not
* No direct reports
* No site-level operational or day-to-day care management
* Not a traditional clinical manager role
This is a strategic, governance-focused position with hands-on influence where required.
What You Bring
* Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration
* Strong working knowledge of aged care, community care, and retirement living legislation
* Proven experience in clinical governance, quality systems, and regulatory compliance
* Ability to operate credibly at executive and board level
* Experience working across multiple sites and complex service models
* High capability in policy development, risk management, and continuous improvement
* Background in aged care, home care, or integrated care services strongly preferred
Package on offer
* $150,000 up to $165,000 base salary + super
