About Us

The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

Why this role matters

The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation, and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

About The Role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Manager based at our Karratha location. Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, full-time position. This role requires the ability to work on a rotating roster, and on rare occasions, outside normal business hours.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 5.

You will successfully

1. Maintain effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation.
2. Provide case management support in accordance with TSA FV Model of Care and Case Management model, meeting best practice standards.
3. Undertake ongoing risk assessment and safety planning.
4. Deliver case management addressing individual needs from initial intake to exit.
5. Develop individual case plans in collaboration with clients, including interventions to meet their needs or goals.
6. Assist clients in accessing support services, establishing community supports, and advocating with service providers when needed.
7. Monitor and review progress and outcomes of individual case plans, taking action to ensure plans meet client needs.

You will have

1. A tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
2. Experience working in the family violence sector (desirable).
3. Experience in specialist family violence and/or child wellbeing work (highly desirable).
4. Demonstrated case management experience and skills.
5. Strong time management and work prioritisation skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
6. Advanced computer skills, including data and record management.

What We Offer

1. Potential eligibility for NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefits.
2. Employee Assistance Program — confidential counselling service.
3. Financial, retail, and lifestyle discounts and benefits.
4. Discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport.
5. Up to 8 weeks of leave per year through our purchase leave scheme.
6. Generous parental leave of 12 weeks.
7. Up to 5 days paid leave per year to support TSA programs or activities.
8. An inclusive culture of dedicated, passionate, and professional team members.
9. Opportunities to positively impact lives through your career contribution.
