The Role:
Seeking a Fitter Machinist to join a high-performing maintenance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment and machinery in a supportive and safety-driven workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out machining, fitting, assembly, and repairs of fixed plant and mobile equipment components.
Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other workshop machinery to precise tolerances.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and crushers.
Diagnose faults and identify solutions to mechanical issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing and repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards.
To be successful for this role you will possess:
Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Fitting and Machining (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade).
Proven experience in heavy industry, mining, or similar industrial environments.
Strong machining skills (manual lathes, mills, boring machines, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
High attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality workmanship.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and risk management practices.
Current driver's licence.
