About the role

Band 6 Role final salary offering to be discussed with the preferred candidate based on skills and experience

Are you a strategic engagement leader with a passion for shaping the future of Tasmania's energy system? Do you thrive in complex environments where stakeholder insight, community trust, and regulatory outcomes intersect? If so, TasNetworks wants to hear from you.

We're seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Revenue Reset Engagement Lead to drive the delivery of contemporary engagement strategies for TasNetworks' 2029-34 Regulatory Proposal. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we engage with customers, stakeholders, and the broader Tasmanian community - ensuring their voices meaningfully shape the future of the network.

As our Revenue Reset Engagement Lead, you will lead the implementation of innovative, best-practice engagement strategies that enhance TasNetworks' profile and reputation. You will coordinate insights from engagement activities to directly inform regulatory decision-making, ensuring customer and stakeholder feedback is embedded in our proposal.

You will play a critical leadership role guiding and motivating a high-performing team in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You'll also provide trusted advice to senior executives and across the business on communication, engagement, corporate social responsibility, and regulatory engagement practices.

This role will see you identify, oversee, and optimise community engagement activities, while making strategic decisions to maximise the value of budget and resources. You'll lead talent development within your team and contribute to a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About you

First and foremost, you are an exceptional relationship-builder and communicator, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver outcomes that balance the needs of diverse stakeholders.

You bring significant experience in communications and stakeholder engagement, ideally within a regulated or infrastructure environment. You have a strong understanding of contemporary engagement methodologies and a proven ability to apply frameworks such as the IAP2 Core Values and Public Participation Spectrum in practice.

You are a confident and capable leader who can motivate teams, shape business outcomes, and navigate complexity with clarity and purpose. Your interpersonal skills are highly developed, enabling you to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels—internally and externally.

You have demonstrated experience in reputation management, regulatory or large-scale program engagement, and managing competing priorities with strong organisational discipline. You are comfortable operating in politically and commercially sensitive environments and can quickly build an understanding of industry dynamics.

A tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, along with the ability to manage change and lead through ambiguity in a complex and evolving landscape.
