We are looking for a finance professional for a new exciting role as a Project Costing Officer to join a large team on the Sunshine coast. 6 month contract with possible extension.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Costing Officer to commence a 6-month contract starting ASAP with a strong potential of extension.
This exciting role within a large and very high-profile government department has a rate of $44.49 per hour + Super.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Undertake financial and timesheet transactions in relation to daily costing and work orders using various department packages
- Monitor financial position of projects and work orders, inventory purchases
- Identifying and assisting in the implementation of procurement practices and processes
- End of month processes and financial reports
- Working closely with Procurement department to ensure that all the purchase orders/requisitions are created as per the contracts/SOAs
- Using various department packages including SAP R/3
- Close finalised work orders in SAP, ensuring all associated Labour and material charges are included.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Must have high attention to detail and high accuracy
- Have worked in a data entry, payroll, accounts payable, or finance focused role previously.
- You must be advanced user on excel, including pivot tables and V look ups.
- Experience in a similar role within a government department or large organisation
- Experience using SAP Previously.
