Priest Bros. Orchards Pty Ltd., a fourth-generation family-owned agricultural company in Harcourt North and Pakenham, Victoria, Australia, founded in 1880 and dedicated to the cultivation and production of high-quality apples, is seeking a qualified full-time Machinery Supervisor. The position offers a salary of $76,515 AUD per year plus superannuation. The Machinery Supervisor will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Operate a wide variety of agriculture and packaging machinery and equipment.
* Assist with maintenance of machines where necessary.
* Perform machinery maintenance to mitigate the negative impact of equipment-related issues, service, and breakdowns.
* Supervise and coordinate employees who operate machines.
* Prepare work schedules, assign work and oversee the work.
* Ensure machine operation is done correctly and compliant with safety procedures
The Machinery Supervisor is required to have the following qualifications and experience:
* A relevant AQF Diploma or equivalent; OR
At least 3 years of relevant experience. Ideal background and skills:
* Previous work experience as a Farm Mechanic or Farm Equipment Maintenance Supervisor within agriculture/horticulture is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles.
* Possess advanced knowledge and experience in farming machinery maintenance.
* Ability to supervise and manage a team to maintain a high standard of work practices.
