This role offers a unique opportunity to lead engineering initiatives in Defence capability development, overseeing project execution and ensuring compliance with NIST/Essential 8.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery & Management: Oversee project execution, applying strong engineering leadership and project management principles.
* Cyber & Software Frameworks: Ensure compliance with NIST/Essential 8, integration, and development best practices.
* Team Leadership: Facilitate daily stand-ups, coordinate schedules, and engage with stakeholders to drive project success.
* Technical Strategy: Apply expertise in development methodologies to enhance system reliability and performance.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Travel: Liaise with external teams to ensure effective collaboration, with occasional travel required.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the following areas:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Technical Expertise & Compliance: Apply engineering skills while meeting DSS Level 3 qualifications, autonomy, influence, and complexity standards.
* ITAR & Security Compliance: Work with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) materiel, ensuring secure and compliant handling.
* Agile & Scrum Leadership: Bring management and Scrum experience to drive efficient project execution.
* Project & Lifecycle Management: Support project management, Capability Lifecycle (CLC), and product development (SDLC).
* Evaluation & Documentation: Manage testing and evaluation, engineering requirements traceability, and technical documentation.
