Job Summary
The Manager, Technology and Cyber Security Branch will lead the development and execution of NCVER's strategic IT roadmap, driving innovation across technologies, systems, and business applications.
About the Role
This key leadership position oversees National VET data systems and infrastructure, cyber security strategy and operations, and delivery of all internal IT services. As Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring NCVER's IT platform is secure, compliant, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement robust strategies, frameworks, and policies to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
* Lead the development and execution of NCVER's strategic IT roadmap, driving innovation across technologies, systems, and business applications.
* Oversight of cyber security strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a secure and compliant digital environment.
* Manage IT project governance and portfolio processes.
Requirements
SIGNIFICANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PROVIDING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES ACROSS AN ORGANISATION.
EXPERIENCE LEADING, COACHING AND MENTORING STAFF.
EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING PROJECTS TO COMPLETION WITHIN AGREED SCOPE, BUDGET AND SUCCESS CRITERIA.
EXPERIENCE IN DATA COLLECTION AND INFORMATION DELIVERY THROUGH BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND MANAGING AN OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT.
KNOWLEDGE OF CURRENT ISSUES AND POLICIES IN THE AUSTRALIAN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING SYSTEM.
RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, CYBER SECURITY OR RELATED DISCIPLINE.
