Responsible for providing support of HSEQ compliance, management plans, and procedures across a range of Construction and Remediation Defence projects. This opportunity is for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a well-established safety team, overseeing compliance across multiple sites throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.
THE ROLE
* Assist project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
* Coach, advise, and educate site personnel on legislative requirements & changes to ensure compliance with company procedures
* Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions as per company procedures
* Encourage a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel
* Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits
* Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
* Coordinate HESQ training programs, including maintaining competency standards
* Analyze HSEQ performance, reporting, and system updates
* Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level
* Compile project-specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an HSE advisor within the construction industry
* Exposure to mast climbers, swing stages, scaffold access methods for high-rise works
* Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline
* Experience in creating and reviewing Management Plans, SWMS, JHA's, and conducting audits
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
* Understanding of Quality Management processes
* Ability to operate autonomously while ensuring project efficiency
