The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Salesperson & Designer to join our team. In this dynamic, client-facing role, you’ll collaborate with builders, architects, renovators, and homeowners to bring their visions to life. Working with our wide range of sustainable, recycled timber products, you’ll take projects from concept through design and quoting, supporting the production team through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop creative, sustainable design solutions
- Design and quote bespoke furniture and built-in joinery
- Quote recycled timber for larger construction and commercial projects
- Maintain strong client relationships with exceptional service
- Support business development by leveraging your industry network
- Liaise with our production team to ensure smooth project handover
About You
- Passionate about timber and design, and excited to work with high-quality, environmentally friendly products
- Goal-oriented, with a passion for sales and the motivation to contribute to team and personal sales targets
- A skilled communicator and active listener, with the ability to interpret client needs and adapt designs accordingly
- Detail-oriented with the ability to translate concepts into practical, buildable designs
- Proven success in previous roles
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer-focused role within the timber, furniture, or design industries
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills quickly
- Organised, with strong general computer skills (experience with Google suite preferred)
- Strong eye for detail and a compatible design sensibility
- Understanding of furniture/building construction and relevant industry terminology
- Hands on experience in a timber trade, particularly in a manager or quoting role would be considered positively for this position.
- Robust organisational skills, with excellent time management and multitasking ability
- Proficient with AutoCAD or similar design software
Working Environment
Our workspace is located in the beautifully refurbished 1954 Tip Top Bakery building in Griffith, ACT. The factory includes a light-filled showroom, upstairs gallery, and a large workshop fitted with modern machinery, including a 5-axis CNC that’s expanding our furniture capabilities.
You’ll work Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 4:30 pm), with some Saturday morning shifts (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) shared on a rotating roster - negotiable as part of your salary package.

Remuneration
- Base salary: $85K – $95K per annum (commensurate with experience) plus superannuation
- Monthly performance-based sales bonuses—significantly rewarding for high performers. The bonus structure will be shared with shortlisted candidates
