A new HR & Administration Manager position is now available at ITM, offering an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a growing, Australian-owned business.

ITM is a leading importer and wholesaler of professional tools and equipment, supplying the Australian retail tool industry nationwide. We distribute a wide portfolio of market-leading industrial brands including ITM, Holemaker, Multitool, M7, Drill Doctor, Worksharp, Star, Macc, Darex, NPK, Groz, Wiha, and TengTools.

With over 33 years of Australian ownership, ITM operates from its national head office in Stapylton, Queensland. Our brand-new, purpose-built facility is a first-class working environment designed to support efficiency, collaboration, and continued growth.

Driven by a high-performing team, ITM has experienced strong recent growth across both product range and customer base, with exciting developments ahead.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the effective delivery of all HR and people-related processes across a team of approximately 50 employees nationally.

Key responsibilities include:

Human Resources & People Management

* End-to-end recruitment management, including:
o Writing and managing Seek advertisements
o Shortlisting and qualifying candidates
o Conducting interviews and supporting hiring decisions
o Coordinating employment offers and onboarding
o Coordinating new employee inductions
* Maintaining accurate and compliant personnel records, including:
o Employment contracts and role descriptions
o Probation and performance reviews
o Training records
o Termination and separation documentation
* Supporting and administering staff performance management processes
* Payroll administration support (payroll processed externally; internal responsibility limited to attendance and hours reporting)
* Uniform management, including ordering and distribution
* Actively fostering and maintaining a positive, professional workplace culture

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)

Administration and documentation of WHS compliance across the business

Working alongside Operations and Warehouse Managers to coordinate:

* Site safety inspections
* Pallet racking compliance
* Lifting equipment checks
* Fire safety requirements

Ensuring compliance with all relevant local and regulatory WHS obligations

Office & Administration Support

Providing light office supervision for the Stapylton administration team in conjunction with the Operations Manager and General Manager

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a balance of professionalism, confidence, and practical decision-making.

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience in HR & Administration Management, Operations Management, or a closely related role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business
* Sound judgement, strategic thinking, and strong problem-solving ability
* Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or Operations Management (highly regarded but not essential)
* Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
* A high level of motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
* A strong focus on supporting a team culture that delivers outstanding customer service
* High proficiency with technology, systems, and general computer use
* Professional presentation and excellent written and verbal communication skills
