Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in their community and encouraging pro-social attitudes and behaviors.This position leads business support services, ensuring the effective delivery of human resource management, financial management, and logistical services to meet regional performance objectives. The Manager of Regional Services will actively lead and manage strategies and systems that are crucial for continuous improvement of the region's capacity and capability to meet performance goals.Essential Requirements for This Role:Demonstrated communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources, and other relevant issues.Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with diverse interests.Strong written communication and research skills, including the ability to prepare reports and submissions on complex matters and analyze trends.Problem-solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving HR issues, and for improving HR processes, work practices, and reporting procedures.Management skills, including project, human resource, and financial management, to ensure effective resource utilization and manage change impacts within the team.Experience in a senior HR/WHS role.Experience in designing and implementing HR/WHS strategies related to performance management, workforce planning, workplace health & safety systems, and strategic planning.Strength in organization design and effectiveness, team building, and delivering comprehensive HR/WHS support to meet current and future needs.Risk assessment and management capabilities.Performance assessment and management skills.Strategic analysis, policy development, and planning skills.Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Qualifications and Other Requirements:While there are no mandatory qualifications, tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are highly desirable.The successful applicant may need to travel on official business, and possession of a valid C class license may be required.Relocation expenses may be covered under the Transfer and Appointment Expenses Directive 11/11.Please refer to the Application Guide and Role Description below for further information.
