Position suits a Dispensary Technician or Pharmacy Assistant seeking to develop dispensary and dosage administration aid preparation skills, with a goal to provide all round support in most aspects of a retail pharmacy environment. Previous experience is desirable.
Initial major responsibilities begin with excellent customer service, dispensary support to pharmacist, preparation of dosage administration aids, operation of cash register, applications to customer accounts, accuracy and attention to detail, stock handling, implementation of systems, display and shop tidiness maintenance. Possibility of role expansion exists with progression of skills and demonstrated performance.

Key responsibilities
* Providing a high level of customer service
* Supporting pharmacist and other staff
* Receiving and topping up stock
* Accurate use of cash register and EFTPOS terminals
* Assisting customers with purchases and solutions
* Working closely with and referring to professional staff
* Participation in Marketing, displays and promotions
* Participating and assisting in the delivery of professional pharmacy services
* Assisting with cleanliness and tidiness
* Preparation of Dosage Administration Aids
* Customer medication deliveries to local area
More about the position
A part time to full time work schedule including some weekdays and some regular Saturdays would be tailored to fit within the pharmacy's weekday trading hours 8:30 am-6:00 pm and Saturday mornings, 9:00 am- 12:30 pm. It is estimated that a minimum of 25 hours would be available most weeks with up to 38 hours on regular occasions, depending on flexibility as extra assistance on other days may be requested. No evening work (accepting brief, very occasional staff training), no Sundays or Public Holidays.
The successful candidate could commence work immediately, beginning with a brief induction period and detailed training.
