The Opportunity

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, the Dispatch Operator / Forklift Driver will assist with the smooth daily operation of the dispatch section of BMG's Pack Shed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Driving a forklift to move stock so it is ready to be loaded on to trucks in a timely manner.

* Regularly communicating with all areas of the Pack Shed to ensure they remain up to date with order details as they are received or when adjustments are made.

* Assisting the Quality Team to ensure pallets and orders are correct and checked, including making sure labels and codes on products are correct and clearly marked.

* Checking documentation for all orders is correct before dispatch.

* Ensuring all stock and inventory are stored correctly, including the removal of old stock from the cool rooms.

* Following workplace health and safety rules, so all activities are completed in a safe manner at all times.

It is important to note that the days of work for this position are on a two-week roster, where the days of work are Monday to Friday in week 1 and Tuesday to Saturday in week 2.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

* Relevant experience in a busy warehouse or pack shed environment, including the completion of on-the-job training.

* Hold and maintain a forklift licence.

* An understanding of quality and food safety standards.

* A sound understanding of food packing processes.

* Demonstrated strong work ethic.

* Excellent verbal communication skills.

* The ability to follow and carry out relevant instructions.

* The ability to focus on efficiency, quality and best practice.
