St Clare's School is a Catholic Secondary CARE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) school, in the tradition of the Good Shepherd Sisters.
We serve girls in Years 8 to 12 who have not been able to engage successfully in mainstream schools.We are seeking a highly experienced, committed professional to be part of our Staff Team, leading the Student Services Team.
The successful applicant will be required to complete Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School, WA, within 2 years of commencement, and Accreditation for Teachers, Psychologists, and non-teaching staff in Leadership roles in Catholic Schools within 5 years.
As well as an induction process, there will be a transition period with the current Leadership, depending on start-date.Lead Psychologist: Job Advertisement InformationQualificationsPsychology DegreeSelection CriteriaCommencement of Provisional Psychology SupervisionPsychologist experience working with children, young people and familiesKnowledge of pathways and networks for youth mental health services and disability servicesAdvanced understanding of the impacts of childhood trauma as it relates to mental health diagnosis and developmental trajectoryDemonstrated ability to deliver a range of evidence-supported clinical interventions, for a wide range of presentations in young people, in a culturally safe mannerExperience/knowledge developing Safety/Risk management plans and managing suicidal and self-harming behaviour.Knowledge and/or experience working with school refusal, behavioural challenges, and family breakdownAlong with Clinical Supervision, established practices of self-careWA Drivers LicencePreferred CriteriaRegistered as a Psychologist with AHPRAExperience working with young people with complex trauma including children diagnosed with: Eating Disorders, Emerging Unstable Personality Disorders, ADHD, Conduct Disorders, ASDExperience supervising staff either as direct reports or otherwiseRole ConditionsOngoing, 0.6 FTE (over 3 days per week; days negotiated)Negotiated ***** weeks per year (FTE = 45 weeks/year)Salary: CEWA Salary Schedule, Psychologists.
Step Level and Leadership Allowance negotiated depending on qualifications and Experience.Professional supervision included in packageProposed start date: Negotiable as soon as practicable, but, at the latest, January 20, ****.Applicants must complete and forward the Non-teaching role application form, found on the school website even if they wish to attach a CV.
