Job Title: WHSE Professional
This role is pivotal to the successful delivery of complex defence projects.
* Senior WHSE Specialist Governance & Assurance: Provide strategic guidance on WHSE governance, risk management, and assurance practices across various submarine build, sustainment, and capability programs.
* Senior WHSE Specialist: Lead the execution of WHSE strategies, systems, and action plans, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* WHSE Specialist: Support or lead the execution of WHSE strategies, systems, and action plans, facilitating incident investigations using best-practice methodologies.
* Contractor Safety Specialist: Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans, teams, and training, engaging with stakeholders for compliance.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting or leading the execution of WHSE strategies, systems, and action plans.
* Delivering WHSE risk reduction initiatives, including risk assessments and high-risk activity reviews.
* Facilitating or overseeing incident investigations using best-practice methodologies.
* Coordinating emergency preparedness and response plans, teams, and training.
* Providing coaching and guidance to build WHSE capability and a proactive safety culture.
Key qualifications include:
* Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, environmental science, emergency management, or related fields.
* A strong understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, standards, and risk management practices.
* Experience in WHSE roles within large complex organisations or high-risk environments.
* Experience with high-risk activity management and incident investigation methodologies.
