Overview
The Lord Lyndoch is a family-run restaurant in the heart of the Barossa Valley. We’re all about great food, wine, and warm hospitality in a relaxed setting loved by locals and visitors alike.
About the role
We’re on the hunt for skilled, experienced, and passionate Chefs to bring their flair to our kitchen in the beautiful town of Lyndoch.
This isn’t just another kitchen gig—it’s your chance to showcase your talent, creativity, and leadership in a family-owned restaurant that celebrates the very best of the Barossa. You’ll be part of a friendly, close-knit crew who love what they do (and aren’t afraid to have a laugh along the way).
If you’ve got the skills, the passion, and the drive, this is your prospect to shine, share your expertise, and help shape the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Crafting a variety of dishes—entrees, mains, and desserts—that showcase fresh, local ingredients and your culinary flair
- Working alongside a passionate kitchen team to keep service smooth, efficient, and fun (even in the heat of the rush)
- Bringing ideas to the table with menu development and current recipes
- Keeping an eye on stock, ordering what’s needed, and minimising waste
- Helping create memorable guest experiences through consistently great food
What we’re looking for
- Solid chef/cook experience in a busy hospitality setting (function experience is a bonus)
- Strong technical skills and the ability to stay cool and organised under pressure
- A creative streak and willingness to experiment with flavours
- A commitment to food safety and high standards
- Above all—a genuine passion for food, hospitality, and making guests feel welcome
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rates
- A workplace where your ideas and creativity are valued (not brushed aside)
- Flexible schedules to help balance work and life
- Staff discounts on meals and drinks (yes, you get to enjoy what we create!)
- A supportive, family-run team who look out for each other
- A stunning Barossa Valley location, just a short scenic drive from Adelaide
While these roles start casual, there’s potential to step into a full-time leadership position for the right person—someone who can lead, inspire, and keep the kitchen humming efficiently.
Must have working rights for Australia. Sponsorship is not available.
If you’re ready to bring your skills, experience, and passion to a restaurant that celebrates great food, wine, and relaxed hospitality—we’d love to hear from you.
