The University of Wollongong (UOW) is a globally recognised institution with a proud history of excellence in teaching, learning and research. Our vibrant community includes students from more than 130 countries, and we are committed to delivering a world‐class, internationally focused learning experience. About the Role
As an Educational Initiatives and Partnerships Specialist, you'll be a key driver of UOW's most exciting and transformative projects. You'll take the lead on initiatives that shape the future of learning at UOW, working with passionate colleagues and external partners to spot opportunities, analyse and construct plans that influence real change.
You'll own education‐related projects from start to finish—planning with precision, managing risks, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring every milestone lands on time. You will support the Unit's operational goals to ensure outcomes are delivered and produce polished reports and insights that help guide strategic decisions and improve how Academic Services operates.
At the heart of the role is connection. You will build strong, trusted relationships both internally and across government, industry and the higher education sector, bringing people together to deliver impactful projects and partnerships that elevate the student and staff experience.
About You
You're a confident, experienced project professional who thrives in hands‐on environments and knows how to keep complex work moving. You manage multiple projects with ease, balancing risks, priorities and deadlines without losing momentum. You communicate clearly, build trust quickly and handle diverse stakeholder expectations with confidence.
You've delivered educational or strategic projects and are confident in communications, prioritisation and estimating timelines, costs and resources. You're analytical and detail‐driven, able to turn data and documentation into clear insights that support strong governance and decision‐making.
How to Apply
If you're excited by the opportunity to contribute to transformative educational initiatives and want to work in a collaborative, high‐impact environment, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your application through the UOW careers portal, including your resume and a cover letter summarising your skills and experience as it relates to the selection criteria located in the position description.
