We’re seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure for electrical projects. You’ll bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and hands-on capability in concept and detailed design, ideally using Civil 3D or 12d, to deliver practical, innovative solutions across a portfolio of high-impact work. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on complexity, collaborates well with stakeholders, and enjoys mentoring others.
Responsibility
Work on multiple projects of the highest complexity requiring forefront, innovative and practical solutions.
Responsible to engage, guide and coordinate Civil design partners relating to design projects.
Deliver inhouse concept and Detail designs for Civil elements of electrical infrastructure projects.
Provide accurate/up to date and industry best practice information relating to Structural aspects of design and constructability to facilitate electrical infrastructure design and construction.
Provision of design and construction engineering estimates.
Actively generate and pursue prospective project leads through networking and industry contacts.
Lead and deliver tender/RFQ proposals.
Provide input to long range planning of major projects including tracking and budgeting.
Deliver projects and designs in accordance with the objectives and goals of the company.
Be responsible for multiple major projects and budgets.
Mentor and develop younger professionals within the organisation through guidance and technical training.
Technical Depth & Breadth
Consistently demonstrate extremely high levels of technical and construction knowledge, ingenuity and complex problem solving for Civil infrastructure projects.
Develop and apply advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories and concepts.
Have a comprehensive knowledge relating to design and construction of Civil elements for electrical infrastructure.
Have hands on experience with design software and digital engineering delivery systems for Civil designs.
Guidance / Initiative
Self-supervising within guidance and expectations of the Team Lead.
Provides guidance and technical assistance to all internal Practice Areas / Service Areas organization.
Acts proactively and in collaboration with the Team Lead at an organizational level.
Exercises independent initiative/judgment in setting & implementing goals.
Communication / Interpersonal Skills
Able to effectively train people outside his/her work group.
Able to give effective presentations to critical/high level customers and effectively represent work group on review panels and cross-organizational teams.
Can write convincing proposals and reports with all necessary supporting material for external parties.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Civil Engineering (BEng) + 7-10 years of experience.
EA Chartership, RPEV and NER (eligibility)
Civil 3d or 12d design experience is preferred.
