Potts Point Hotel (PPH Investments Pty Ltd) is currently looking to expand its kitchen team and is seeking the talents and determination of an experienced, hard working CDP Chef.
We are seeking someone with experience in a high volume, fast paced commercial kitchen.
The successful candidate will have the following;
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2–3 years experience in a commercial kitchen
* Strong section management and service flow skills
* Good understanding of food safety (HACCP-style systems)
* Ability to work under pressure in high-volume services
* Leadership capability with junior staff
* Team-focused, reliable, and professional attitude
The role will require the following;
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of an assigned section (e.g. grill, pans, larder, fryer, pastry)
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to spec and within service time targets
* Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
* Train and supervise Commis Chefs and Apprentices within your section
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
* Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
* Contribute to menu development and specials when required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and service-ready section at all times
* Communicate effectively with FOH and kitchen leadership during service
The role is for a 40 hour roster with midweek and weekend work namely between 10am and 10pm.
Salary ranging $75,000.00 plus super.
